Jack Wolfe

Jack Wolfe, 93, a lifelong resident of Smithsburg, MD, and a resident of Sun City Center, FL, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home in Sun City Center, FL, surrounded by his loving family. Born October 25, 1932, in Smithsburg, MD, he was the son of the late Noah Glenn Wolfe and Mabel C. (Robinson) Wolfe. He attended Smithsburg Schools. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. Jack was a mason by trade and was former owner and operator of The Wolfes Den tavern in Smithsburg. He was a member of the Owl’s Club of Waynesboro, Eagles Club Inc. of Waynesboro, VFW of Hagerstown, American Legion of Hagerstown and South Mountain Rod and Gun Club of Smithsburg. Jack is survived by one daughter, Brenda Wolfe, one son, Glenn Wolfe, one sister, Patricia Steinmetz, four grandchildren, Jesse, Jackie, Noah and Justin, and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ann “Sally” Wolfe, son, Rick Wolfe, daughter, Penny Wolfe-Smetana, sister, Lavern “Sam” Smith, and brothers, Jerry Wolfe and Terry Wolfe. Internment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Smithsburg Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, starting at 1:00pm at The Wolfes Den.
