Joyce Elaine (Buharp) Mills

Joyce Elaine Mills 83, of Williamsport, MD, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Born on May 16, 1942, she was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Bessie Delaughter, her Mother, Ernestine Smith, her Father, John Buharp, as well as her younger sister whom she raised, Brenda Smith.

Joyce graduated from Williamsport High School class of 1960.

She found a love for helping people while working at Lowes of Hagerstown for many years, and later retired from there.

She was a loyal lifetime member of Downsville Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. Especially her lifelong friend Pat Williams.

She is survived by her sister Delores Replogle, her sister whom she raised, Beverly Keller, her son Daniel Lewis, her daughter Kandi Mills, along with 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

Joyce made a tremendous impact on anyone she came across. She had so much love to give and will always be remembered for her contagious smile, positive outlook on life, and her sense of humor.

A memorial service will be held at the Downsville Christian Church on Thursday, February 19th at 11:00am. Memorial donations can be made to Downsville Christian church.
